I'm in the final year of high school and will graduate next summer. Can I apply for your next fall intake?

You certainly can apply and be accepted without having earned your high school diploma yet; you will, however, only be able to enroll if you have successfully graduated by the time the term begins at CEU.

Do CEU programs offer a fall and a spring intake?

No. Currently, we only offer fall enrollment in bachelor’s programs.

Are there admission quotas for certain countries or regions?

No, there aren’t. When you apply to CEU it doesn’t matter where you are from as long as you are a qualified applicant.

I would like to study in a bachelor’s degree program at CEU while completing one at my home university at the same time. Is this possible?

No. Students enrolled at CEU may not be simultaneously enrolled at other universities.

I've already earned a bachelor’s degree. Can I apply to another one?

Yes, you surely can.

Are your undergraduate programs also available on a part-time basis?

No, CEU bachelor’s degree programs are full-time.

Can I study at CEU on a distance-learning basis?

While classes may be conducted online for certain periods of time due to COVID restrictions, students are expected to travel to Vienna for in-person classes as soon as it becomes possible. Degrees are not awarded on a distance-learning basis.

I have started a bachelor's program at another institution but I've decided to quit it and continue my studies at CEU. Is it possible to transfer to CEU?

CEU’s bachelor's programs were built with specific and mandatory modules, which makes transfer credits challenging to grant. However, we do have a transfer credit evaluation process and accept transfer credits, incl. a possible direct transfer into year 2 on a case-by-case basis. Transfer into higher years is not possible.

NOTES:

  • Any requests for transferring credits will be considered only after a student has applied and been offered admission to one of our bachelor's programs.
  • The maximum number of credits that can be transferred is 15 US credits (30 ECTS).
  • The awarding of credits depends on the university at which they were acquired, the course equivalency to our courses, and the grade received for the course.
  • A direct transfer into year 2 is subject to space availability. In such cases, we would exceptionally allow 30 US credits (60 ECTS) to be transferred in.
