Are you in your final year of high school? Submit the transcripts showing all your subjects and grades from the previous three years and a certificate of enrollment stating your expected date of graduation. If it’s possible for you to get mid-year results and/or predicted grades for your final year, make sure to include those, too. More info this way.

If you’ve already graduated, you’ll need to upload your high school transcripts from the last four years together with the results of your matriculation examination (e.g. Matura, Abitur, A-levels etc.) as well as your high school diploma/certificate confirming that you’ve completed secondary education. All non-English language documents should be translated and certified by either the issuing institution or a registered translator. This means that you may translate the documents yourself or ask a teacher at your school to translate them for you – just remember to get the translation signed and stamped by a school official (such as the school director, principal or a secretary). Alternatively, you can have your academic records translated and certified by a sworn translator.

Your application must be complete with the required English language test scores. English (and other test scores) submitted after the deadline are considered on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to the Admissions Office at undergradadmissions@ceu.edu if you are awaiting results. If your first language is English or your high school studies were conducted entirely in English, you may request exemption.

If you've taken a standardized test such as SAT, ACT or Advanced Placement or you're enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP), don't forget to upload your certificates or other evidence to the Other Supporting Documents section.

Show us how you spend your free time and what you’re passionate about in your CV. You may include any extracurricular activities and any paid or unpaid jobs you’ve had. If you have volunteering experience, be sure to add that, too. Don’t forget to explain your motivation, the impact of the activity and the skills you’ve gained from it. Go through the program-specific essay guidelines. This is your opportunity to show us what topics interest you and how you analyze an issue and express your ideas, so do take your time. Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to write a scholarly essay, but do make sure to get all your facts straight and always identify your sources. In your letter of motivation, tell us a little about why you’d like to study at CEU and what made you choose the to which program you’re applying.

Your referee has one week to upload their confidential letter of recommendation after you've submitted your application and paid the application fee. If you're applying to more than one BA program, you'll have to register a referee for each application. You can track the status of your reference via the Applicant Portal. If your referee has not received the notification email with a link to the reference form, ask them to check their promotions and spam folders. If this doesn’t solve the issue, you should remove and re-register them on the Applicant Portal.

Remember to hit the “submit” button and pay the application fee of EUR 30 as the last step. This fee cannot be waived, but the good news is that you only need to pay it once, no matter how many programs to which you're applying. If someone else pays the application fee on your behalf, they should use the CEU payment gateway. Make sure to press the "submit" button on your application before making a third-party payment though.
