Tiziana Centofanti

Tiziana is an Environmental Scientist who specializes in environmental pollution, ecological restoration, and sustainable use of natural resources. She has led multiple green technology and nature-based solution projects for water and soil contamination. Her current research focuses on innovative solutions to socio-environmental challenges, such as water pollution, food security, and human health.

She is the scientific lead of the H2020 DIVAGRI project, providing low-cost bio-based solutions to African smallholder farmers, and of HORIZON EUROPE SYMBIOREM project, aiming to improve bioremediation strategies for soils, sediments, surface water, and groundwater. She worked as a research scientist at the University of Maryland and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and has been a Visiting Professor at CEU since 2016.
